2018-2019 Season Wrap Up
The Glenelg Country School Dragons capped off an already memorable 2018-2019 season by winning the Maryland Independent Schools Tournament Championship this year. The team set a program record for the A conference with 21 wins defeating Gilman for the championship.
In the midst of an already challenging schedule, the Dragons traveled to New York City in January, where they defeated Lawrence Woodmere Academy in the Big Apple Shootout and rising senior Jordan Brathwaite was awarded MVP honors.
Senior Chase Paar was named First Team All-Conference in the MIAA for the second year in a row and accepted a basketball scholarship to George Washington University.
Summer 2019
The Dragons are in the midst of summer team camps with returning standouts and talented new additions. They’ll be competing in the George Washington Team Camp, Hoop Group, and Dematha Live and look forward to facing some tough talent that will help prepare them for their quest for the MIAA championship this year.
Returning seniors Noah Charles, Jarod Robinson, Jordan Brathwaite, and Igor Yoka-Bratasz will be playing in a variety of events in the United States and Poland. Key additions Sophomore Noah Bachelor and Junior Jacob Kravitz are great additions and have already made an impact on the team this summer.
Coach O’Donnell will be heading to Spain once again this year to take part in the Fundación Gijón Baloncesto in Gijón, Spain.
